Kloqlee privacy policy
Last updated 18 July 2026
Kloqlee is an alarm clock. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting. Nobody is tracked, and nothing you record in the app is sold, shared or used to build a profile of you.
This policy describes what the app does. It is written to match what the code actually does; if the app changes, this changes with it.
What stays on your phone
All of it, apart from the two requests described below. Your alarms, categories and reminders, how long you take to get up in the morning, your workout sessions, the water and medication you log, your sleep goal and every setting are stored in your device's own storage. They are not uploaded anywhere. There is no Kloqlee server.
That includes information some people consider sensitive:
- Step counts. The walk mission counts steps using your device's motion sensor while the challenge is on screen, to know when you have walked far enough. The count is used at that moment and never transmitted.
- Medication and water logs. Kept so the app can show what you have already taken or drunk today.
- Sleep and wake times. Derived from when your alarms ring and when you dismiss them, to show how long you typically take to get up.
What leaves your phone
One request, over HTTPS, carrying no name, no account, no device identifier and nothing that identifies you.
Public holidays — date.nager.at. If you use
holiday skipping, Kloqlee sends a country code and a year to fetch that
country's public holidays. No personal information is involved.
That is the only request Kloqlee makes. If you do not use holiday skipping it makes none at all, and works completely offline. Kloqlee does not ask for your location and has no code that could.
Permissions, and what each one is for
Kloqlee asks for these, and explains each before asking. Declining any of them leaves the rest of the app working.
- Alarms. Lets an alarm take over the lock screen and ring at full volume when the app is closed. Without it, alarms fall back to a notification.
- Notifications. Reminders and bedtime nudges.
- Calendar. Read-only, and only the next two days, so Kloqlee can warn you when an alarm is about to ring during something you have scheduled. Your events are read on your device and never leave it.
- Microphone. Only while you are recording a voice alarm tone. The audio stays on your device and is never uploaded.
- Sounds you import. A file you pick is converted and kept on your device only. It is never uploaded and is left out of backups. Copy-protected music cannot be imported.
- Motion. Only to count steps for the walk mission.
Backups you make yourself
Kloqlee can export your data to a file so you can move it to a new phone. That file is created only when you ask for one, and it goes wherever you choose to send it. Once it leaves the app, it is covered by whatever service you sent it to, not by this policy.
Children
Kloqlee collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Your data, your device
Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no account to close and no data for us to delete on request. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored. Data you exported yourself is yours to delete wherever you put it.
Changes
If a future version of Kloqlee sends something new off the device, this page will say so before that version is released.
